An Oblong pear shaped fruit with a large flat inedible stone. A juicy flesh and peach in colour and is very aromatic when ripe. It is green when unripe and turns yellow to orange/red as it ripens.

Selection, Storage & Handling

Select mangoes that yield to pressure, with a distinct pleasant aroma. Colour should be characteristic of variety. Avoid any with black or soft spots. Ripen at room temperature. Mature-green mangoes usually ripen within 7-10 days between 18-22C. Keep ripe mangos well wrapped and refrigerated (about 3 days).
