Red/pink aromatic berries with seeds on the thin outside skin. They have a white/pink/red flesh that is soft and succulent tasting and at the stem has a green leafy cap. A berry fruit which is a member of the rose family.

Selection, Storage & Handling

Select clean bright red fruit. A fresh, bright, green calyx should be attached. Check the base of punnet for mould or moisture from overripe fruit. Due to their delicate nature, strawberries can be stored only for a very short period (up to seven days) at low temperatures. Keep strawberries wrapped in plastic and refrigerated. Consume as soon as possible.
